SPHC - Background Details

SPH Consultants was started in 2001, through a confluence of professionals from varied indusry backgrounds, all sharing a common focus - to significantly enhance the quality of products and productivity of people/processes through the innovative use of Information Technology (ITES) components.

The concept of the linking of service business to the information technology lies in a simple fact that when a user wants to avail of a certain service at a certain time, in a certain cost, the availability of the right information is not there for him. There is a definitive need to facilitate the decision making process of the end user through some value added services.

Information is a strategic asset to monitor and enhance business through various channels. The management of information, right from the stage of defining what information is required, to how the information is to be collected and then to analyze what the information means to the business, is a task which needs a careful planning and strategic implementation.

All too often, companies in the area of telecom, manufacturing, services, or the professionals, deploy products designed by software/hardware companies that lack in-depth input from domain experts. Such products and solutions do not serve the people who would use those products and solutions for day to day operations. Domain expertise of the business processes and requirements of the marketplace can significantly enhance the quality and effectiveness of the products designed for those professions.

A common need was felt to leverage the synergy of the expertise Information technology expertise and domain specific knowledge amongst the founders to deliver relevant, cost-effective ITES. We started working in this direction and through this synergy we offer products and solutions that meets demanding ITES, Client/Server, Data Access, Workflow and Automation requirements.

Location

We are headquarted in New Delhi - the “capital city” of India and have no branches elsewhere. We have associates across the technology and service domains and consultants with as varied background as Engineers, Chartered accountants, hoteliers and travel agents.

Mission

The mission of the company is to provide Value Added Services to its focus target customers, either directly or through its associates at the right time and cost.
The mechanism of delivery of these services is through Partnership programs, Management Consultancy, Training and Seminars, Information exchange, Web sites, Portal, Call Centres, etc.

Organisation

We believe in the concept of Process engineering and teams and practice the same in our projects and organisation. We work with teams, specifically created for each product and project. The organization structure is completely flat - no hierarchy.

Team Work(s)

The teams themselves are highly motivated and focussed on the product/project assignments. Our team of 6 people completed a 6000 pages e-publishing assignment in 6 weeks time for a portal development. Another team completed a e-learning portal in 3 months time (including e-publishing of 20 courses) and alpha testing of same.
