 ELITEX - 2007 was held during January 10-11th, 2007 at India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. The theme of ELITEX - 2007 was "Productivity Enhancement Using ICT".
The Department of Information Technology (DIT) has supported the research and development effort in the areas of electronics and information technology at various institutions. To disseminate information on these technologies and products developed through this effort among the users and the industry, the Department has organized, an annual interaction, Electronics & Information Technology Exposition (ELITEX). The industry has ever enthusiastically responding to this initiative and participated in the past events in larger numbers.
The Hon’ble Minister for Communications & Information Technology, Shri Dayanidhi Maran inaugurated the exposition on
January 10th at 1100 hrs.
The Seminar ELITEX - 2007 provides special focus on the emerging technology enhancing the productivity in various sectors of economy.
The scope of the ELITEX - 2007 has been enlarged to include official participations from all Countries. The official delegations from participating countries available for discussions on the tie-up possibilities on the technologies/services available from India. All member countries of Asia Electronics Info - Communications Union (AEIU) were specially invited to participate in the event.
Another session focussed on presentations from the States in India. These presentations covered the opportunities for the industry to participate in the e-Governance initiatives in different States. These Governments also be requested to ensure the dissemination of information generated through the ELITEX - 2007 in their respective States.
 The exhibition focussed on the technologies/know-how developed at various institutions under DIT. The participating institutions got an opportunity to highlight their technologies, services and other activities that could be offered to the industry and public at large.
